Printing
These books were designed so that I could have a proper bound copy of the grimoire. I used a book printing website called Blurb to design and print the books. They were designed with Blurb's in house program and then uploaded to the website for printing.
How to print:
Printing through Blurb is a pretty easy process, just follow the steps below and await your bound copy in the mail. First download the printable versions (.zip files) these include the books and a seperate cover file.
- Head to www.blurb.com and create an account it is super easy and free to do.
- Once you are logged in, head to Blurb's homepage. From here click Create > Upload PDF (see below image)
3. Select the upload PDF button in the centre of the page to take you to the upload page.
4. Choose the 'cover and pages in separate files' option, then drag the PDF files into the drop box and click next. (see below image).
5. The next page will go over the details of your book dimensions and paper types. As the PDF was created with blurb it will auto detect the size. For the cover selection you need to choose 'Imagewrap, Hardcover' I have not designed the cover for dust jacket or soft cover so they will not print properly. For the paper type, I went with 'Premium photo paper, matte', but you can use standard photo paper for a cheaper option, you can also opt for a blurb logo for a discount. The settings should look like the image below.
6.You will also need to add a title for the book, this can be your own and an author, this should be Cubic Eclipse, as I threw it all together.
7. When uploading you may get some incorrect size errors, don't worry just let Blurb auto-correct the sizing, you will not have any issues. There may also be low image resolution errors, this can also be ignored, once printed they are not noticeable.
8. Once uploaded it will give you a preview, make sure to double check the book for any issues. Once you are happy with it you will have the option to order your book, it is quite an expensive endeavor but absolutely worth it.
Some notes
The main volumes will cost around $150.00 each if you using the premium paper option, Books of Sorrow will set you back around $50.00
Uploading a PDF with Blurb adds it to your account and doesn't differentiate rights, please for the love of the Traveler, do not abuse this power, I have spent a ton of time and effort in creating these and have worked hard to stay within Bungie's terms of use. It would be super disappointing to see this work stolen, or being sold by people without permissions, the last thing I want is for this project to be shut down due to some eververse level greed of a few guardians.
Please only upload and print for your own personal use. You cannot sell or redistribute these books to others in any way that entails payment as this is a breach of Bungie's terms of use.
